PRE-SURGICAL INSTRUCTIONS:

SURGERY DAYS ARE Monday through Thursdays for dogs and cats.

No food for animals after midnight the night before surgery. Water is okay.

Kittens and puppies under 4 months please withdraw food at 6 am the morning of surgery.

Drop off is between 7am – 8am on surgery day, ATTENTION: If you are bringing multiple pets we need you to arrive at 7 am to allow our staff the time needed to in-process and prepare your pets for their physical examination with our veterinarian.

Cats must be dropped off in a secure pet carrier lined with clean newspaper and labeled with the animal’s name and owner’s last name.

One cat per carrier unless kittens are littermates and 3 months 

Cats are not allowed to be dropped off in boxes or plastic totes. Carrier must be designated for pets. 

When entering the shell parking lot on Lake Drive, go left in front of building, we have a 2 lane car circle for drop off and pick up, then exit forward !

Your paperwork will already be printed out for you when you arrive for your appointment. You will have the option to sign an E-consent form, if you are unable to E-sign you will be able to sign on the morning of your pet’s procedure.

All animals must have proof of Current Rabies Vaccination or they will be required to receive a Rabies Vaccination.  The cost of a 1 yr Rabies Vaccination  is $20.  The cost of  3 yr Rabies Vaccination is $40 (Must provided history of prior rabies vaccination to be eligible for a 3 yr Rabies Vaccination)

The Pinellas County License (Tag for Life)  can be issued or renewed at the time of Rabies Vaccination. The fee is $21 for a 1 yr Tag or $42 for a 3 yr. Tag renewal.

All dogs over 7 months of age, owner or rescue must provide  proof of a current heartworm test or they will be Heartworm tested for an additional cost of $30. We also offer flea and heartworm products that are eligible for rebates and we price match with online pharmacy’s too!

Make sure your pet is flea & tick free. An extra charge may be applied for flea treatment if necessary at a cost of $20.  (medical staff discretion).

Walk dogs before entering building and make sure they relieve themselves.

A $20 deposit is required to hold your pet’s surgery spot, payment is submitted during appointment request process.

Appointments are not confirmed until you have been contacted by an Operation:SNIP staff member or until you receive confirmation notifications (call/text/email)

We do not spay/neuter on Fridays.
